In the spirit of reconciliation, HAZ-MATTERS acknowledges that we live, work and play on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), the Tsuut’ina, the Îyâxe Nakoda Nations, the Métis Nation (Region 3), and all people who make their homes in the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta
To qualify, training must meet the following standards:
Training can be done online, on-site or in the classroom, and can be done on at part-time or full-time basis.
In high-risk environments, experience matters. HAZ-MATTERS combines decades of operational expertise with current regulatory knowledge to help organizations manage risk, maintain compliance, and make informed decisions with confidence. We serve as a trusted advisor, delivering practical solutions when they matter most.
The Canada Job Grant offers funding toward the cost of training provided by eligible third-party trainers. The total cost of training will be shared between the Government of Canada and employers.
The Government of Canada provides two-thirds (66%) of the cost of training, up to a maximum of $10,000 for each employee per grant. Employers will be required to contribute the remaining one-third of the training costs.
Applications are accepted from employers only. If you are an individual, you must ask your employer to apply for the grant. Applications must be submitted 30 days prior to the training start date.
**Funding rules vary by province and may change. Employers should confirm current eligibility with their provincial program before applying.
